Help me give my students these books that they have been requesting. Many of these books are fantastic and my students have already read books that have these authors.
These are just one class of young people from a rural school that continues to be an A school in our state. These kids are bright, energetic, and love to read. I enjoy working with them. Because they love to read, I try to provide a variety of books to challenge their thinking. They also have dreams of going to college, so books are essential for their preparation for college. These students come from a variety of backgrounds in which they bring their culture into the school.
My Project
In the past, my students have had the wonderful benefits of donors giving them books by Donors Choose. I am asking again. This method is the only way my students get an opportunity to read new releases. They live in a very rural community and cannot afford to buy new books.
Books are extremely important to many of my students.
They look forward to what is ordered from Donors Choose and go through the selections very quickly. All of our students are required to read for AR tests. So new books are very important so that they can keep up with the demand that is required of them in every grade, middle and high school. Your donations are extremely important to our students.
