This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We have constructed 30 raised beds for our urban garden. Due to the space constraints, the beds are fairly close together. So the upkeep of the grass around our beds is our responsibility. We need a mower and weed eater to maintain our garden space. Right now, I transport my personal mower from the house on the weekends. If the students had their own tool to maintain the gardens, we could do the mowing during our gardening time in the school day. We were gifted a locking shed in order to keep our tools safe.
