My students need 36 art boards and 2 packs of assorted paints to create a base for a mini golf recycling art project.

In our school, we address the unique academic and affective needs of male students through a rigorous college preparatory inquiry and project-based curriculum. We are committed to providing a structured, safe, supportive and motivating environment.
Our single gender school uses nontraditional teaching techniques and structures that are well suited to aspects of male learning differences.
Our structure increase boys' willingness to try new things in the arts (performing skits, sharing poetry etc.) that they might not be as willing to try in front of girls.
I am planning a Sustainability & Recycling Student Service Learning unit called Mini Golf Madness! My art students will explore how artists can make public art utilizing recycling to contribute to a sustainable community. They will create a 9 hole mini golf course(out of recycled materials) being the obstacles on the course. The course will be displayed in the school and open for students to play! Each hole will have a themed cause to raise awareness about recycling. Along side each hole will be an illustrated explanation of the process (language arts), calculations of angle, slope, and trajectory to determine Par (math) and of course, the benefits of recycling (science.) I am requesting 2 sets of paint and 36 art boards to help create the golf course.
Here's a creative and engaging way to change students' lives through seeing the real problem.
Sustainability. They will experience how artistically gifted students impact global sustainability. Students will understand how art experiences affect daily life and play a key role in shaping the planet in the future.
