We are located in an urban area of New Jersey which has been described by the media as "the poorest city in the US" and "the most dangerous city in America." A full 96% of our students are classified as "economically disadvantaged," 16% have special needs.
My sixteen students in my class are incredible students who truly enjoy coming to school on a daily basis.
My school is in an urban area in one of the poorest cities in America. It breaks my heart that so many of these fantastic students do not have access (at home) to many of their own games and "extras." It is my job, as their teacher, to ensure that I prepare my students for their future.
My dynamic students enter the room on a daily basis eager to learn!
We are an extremely active group of students who deserve every opportunity in the world possible. I want to make our classroom an enjoyable room and a place where my students feel comfortable while learning and have every opportunity as the rest of the children in surrounding school districts.

My Project
These curriculum-based learning games, in all subject areas, will add a love of learning for my already awesome students.
I'm requesting a variety of games including Landform Match-Ups, The Allowance Game, Punctuation Bingo, and U.S.
A. Bingo. My students will learn about the states as they play U.S.A. Bingo and learn about money by engaging in The Allowance Game. They will practice grammar skills with Punctuation Bingo, Phonemic Awareness Magnetic Activity Tin and collaborate with classmates as they do the Reading Comprehension Games.
My students are curious learners and adding games into their learning will only add positive results as they learn about specific topics in the subject in which is being discussed.
