Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

All of our students want to learn to play, having games and puzzles in the classroom will provide the opportunity for the kids to play in the classroom comfortably, many at a time. This helps them with the basic idea of Teamwork, Collaboration and builds social emotional awareness. These games are great for the kids because they can practice on their own, get comfortable and ignite their creativity.

The games help many students in the program.

Gaming together builds community and most importantly gives all students a chance to PLAY. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. The games that I have selected will help my students, giving them additional options to engage in social emotional learning and team building with their peers.

I have seen how choice can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more! Growth is evident and fostering student growth is the top priority. These games will alleviate the stresses of the everyday school work and transition securely into a more fun and active environment.
