Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The majority of students at our middle school are Hispanic and African refugees. A majority of students in our school come from an economically disadvantaged background and as a result all our students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.
My students enjoy hands- on learning.
I believe having reading and literacy based games in our library will help them achieve reading proficiency!
The kids who come to this library are fun and energetic- they love having a positive environment where they have control of their learning and I'm excited to give them that!
My Project
I am looking to get board games and card games for my students. When I'm not teaching lessons, I would like to have these games to help promote reading and creativity to use in centers.
Children learn best when they are having fun and participating in hands-on activities.
These games provide a unique way to work cooperatively, while working on reading comprehension skills and vocabulary.
My goal for this library is to create a space for students to learn, communicate, and grow. Having board games and card games in this space is just one step to giving my students the education they deserve!
