Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students come from different countries and backgrounds: Brazil, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and more. They work hard all day long, reading, writing, and practicing the language. They enjoy reading books in the classroom, and learn by doing. We need to create fun centers to motivate them to learn English by playing games, by exploring and discovering.
We need creative, interactive games that motivate them to think critically and having fun at the same time.
Our students face enormous challenges, and, yet, they come into class eager to learn. They are kind, dedicated, clever, and very, very creative. Students need to be exposed to a variety of materials and activities, and to socialize with their friends while practicing the English language and having fun.
They are very active, curious, and eager to learn. They will enjoy playing fun and creative games with their friends while learning English!
My Project
My ESL students are eager to learn English and these fun and creative games will help them to improve their vocabulary and socialize with friends. Learning by doing and having fun is the way to be!
My kindergartens students love to play games but we do not have games, so we are looking for awesome games that will help them to develop their critical thinking.
These games will motivate them to learn and practice the English while socializing with their peers. Some students are shy, soothes will be a great opportunity to interact and apply their English skills.
Playing is very important during this age. Children learn by doing, hands on, and games are wonderful tools to help them to learn, think, and socialize.
