This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Unfortunately for most of my kiddos, poverty and bad situations are very common. It breaks my heart to hear some of the stories my students share with me about their home life

I teach at a Title 1 school and many of my students are being raised in single parent homes or by other family members.

My students love coming to school because they feel loved and safe in my class which makes my heart so full! I have some strong, smart students that defy the odds of what society thinks these students will become.

My Project

My students need games and activities that focus on reading and writing skills during Learning Center time. Our students will use these materials to explore their ability through fun interactive games! These activities will be used during Learning Center times throughout the day as we read and write while learning together. They will be able to use these games during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they practice these skills in 2nd grade. This will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!
