I have a class full of nineteen fun, loving, and creative kindergarteners who live in the great state of Alaska. A portion of my families are in the military. All of my students love to play and explore the world around them. Play and learning are vital components in my kindergarten classroom. My class is in need of reading and math puzzles. Puzzles are a key component in helping my students build their reading and math knowledge.
My Project
These reading and math materials will be used in the classroom to support my students' learning. During literacy stations, my students will use several phonic activities, specifically: snap build phonics, I can build simple words, sound-it-out phonics, middle sounds instant learning center, and splash reading games to continue to build their reading skills. These will provide enrichment activities to allow my students to continue to practice their literacy skills. The sequencing number 1-20 puzzles and place value magnetic frame will be utilized during math to support my class's understanding of numbers. My class will love these new activities!
