Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our class family is a very diverse group of learners. The City of Stamford ranges from city life, inner-city, suburbs, farms, high-rises, beach communities and beyond. Our students come from every socio-economic status and ethnicity we truly are a salad bowl of learners. Our schools are the common place where these learners meet head-on.
The respect and admiration they have for one another and ability to corporately work together is what makes our students so special.
My students foster these friendships early and continue grow them with respect and admiration for each other.
My Project
Students learn through play and practice. I would love to provide both to students. Writing about new information is a key way to help students synthesis their new learning and communicate waht they have learned to the world. These new notebooks will enable students to do that.
The games are a great way to practice skills to mastery.
Students are filled with smiles and laughter when playing games. These games will allow them to learn while having fun and creating strategic thinking.
The glue and scissors will be used for cut and paste activities to solidify new learning. The laminator will allow me to label with pictures and words our classroom making it a readable place for students to learn.
