Do you remember your favorite teacher ever? Was that teacher always pushing you to do your best but also letting you know that you are loved and cared for? This is the kind of teacher I want to be for my students, but, in order for this to happen, I need your help.
The school I teach at is a very impoverished school.
My students come from difficult home lives where they don't know if they will eat when they go home or where they will sleep.
My school has over 85% of its students receiving free or reduced price lunch. My students are smart and sweet but need more of a push when it comes to academics. My students can't afford to buy technology and sometimes school is the only time students may have the opportunity to use technology.
My Project
I teach a large group of reading RTI students and I want to use fun and engaging ways to help them learn the skills that they are struggling with. Also, my homeroom group of students would love to be able to play these games while I work with small groups.
We already have a set of math Versatiles and my students LOVE them!!
We need Versatiles for reading as well. This will help with vocabulary and comprehension development. Versatiles are great because they are self checking and allow for my time to be spent doing other things to help students and not having to go over the correct answers.
