My students need more games and supplies, such as a laminator, Sight-Word Centers, and Whiteboard materials, that will enhance their learning and make it more fun and exciting!
I work in a school with a big population of English Language Learners. Many of the games, manipulatives, and supplies in the class are bought or made by me. I try to provide as many as I can, for the whole class, while still offering differentiation.
The more hands-on activities and supplies there are, the more engaged the students will be!
In my class, I've found that the students are excited and involved when they are using games and different materials to enhance the learning process.
Unfortunately, we do not have as many games and supplies as we need. I would love to be able to offer the most to these students, to help them enjoy school even MORE than they already do!
My Project
My students want to succeed. They are excited to learn new things. Each time I watch them using the games and supplies I've bought and brought into the class - I can see how the whole experience becomes more meaningful.
The math and sight word games will allow my students to become more stimulated and involved in the learning process.
I've seen firsthand how children respond when given fun and exciting ways to learn. The children will be able to use the dry erase markers to write on the whiteboards and easels during centers. The laminating machine will allow me to supplement the games with more homemade games as well. Providing the students with more games and supplies that support their learning process, will support learning, encourage excitement, and allow for a better overall classroom experience.
