These 7-11th grade students attend a rural Missouri middle and high school. This school serves prek to 12th grade in the same building.
The students want to learn, and they love hands on learning.
It's math class and a few extras in class would make learning more fun. The students get excited about using anything that's not just pencil and paper or their textbooks. If I can bring learning to life, these students will Excel not just in math, but in other areas as well.
The math learning games I have selected will help my students enjoy the learning process. The students will be engaged during the process. Any kind of hands on activity really keeps them wanting to know more and learn more.
My students are interested when they feel they have some control of their learning atmosphere.
These games will give students a chance to control their information intake. They will enjoy playing these games and retain what they practice during the game. Retention is very important in math class, because each lesson builds from the last. If games help students retain and learn, it would be a great addition to my classroom.
