My Students

I teach an amazing bunch of students. We are a community located in the heart of a blue-collar neighborhood in a large, urban area in Indiana.

Sports are a powerful tool to build confidence, pride, and learn valuable skills for post-secondary life.

You can't help but get excited about life when you are around our students. This community has a proud athletic history. What they lack in financial means to support the team, they more than makeup for in school spirit.

My Project

Think of your favorite sport. The excitement of the game. The thrill of all the highs and lows. The emotional roller coaster of it all. Take all the lessons learned, friends made, and you have a great experience. How awesome is that!

However, one simple truth remains, You can't play any of these games without a ball.

This is why I am asking for your help. Help me get my students on the court so they can learn the life lessons you get by playing volleyball. The research all shows that students who play sports have better grades and get in less trouble. These volleyballs will give my students a chance. A chance to play and grow into amazing young women. These balls give them the opportunity to benefit and learn those skills you can only get by being on a team. Please help help give our students the amazing benefits of sports.
