Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are an inquisitive bunch of learners. They come from many different backgrounds. Our school is one of the largest elementary schools in the district, educating students from PreK-5th grade.
Our school is located in an urban environment where students struggle to find resources to attain 21st-century skills.
All of our students receive free lunch. These students set high expectations for themselves and work diligently to meet their goals. They work hard and aim high and want more and more knowledge.
Our school has a great attendance rate and high parent involvement.
My Project
The board games I have chosen for my students like Jenga, Chess, Monopoly, Sorry, Connect Four and Dominoes will be beneficial to my students in many ways. These board games will be used during our social skills block to help my students work on their social skills with their peers.
The donations to our board game project will be beneficial to my students in many ways.
The board games will help teach them how to take turns, think ahead, problem solve, team work and sportsmanship.
These board games will help my students to learn important social skills while playing board games with their classmates.
