Mrs. Perry from Shreveport LA is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a digital microscope to further their scientific learning. Girls want to compete in STEM as well! Help us get this digital microscope!

How can students learn compete globally in science and technology when they're not being given the tools to work with at an early age?
I teach 4th grade to all girls in a low-income school in Louisiana.
They are full of energy and inquiry! Our school is considered a Title I school and it was deemed academically unacceptable for a few years. We are now working hard to pull ourselves out of this label. The girls are motivated in the areas of math and science.
My students will get the opportunity to observe things unlike ever before with this new digital microscope. They will do the discovering rather than reading it in a textbook or watching a video online. I believe that a close-up image and exploration of various objects will provide quite a bit of real-world application of difficult concepts.
If my class receives this piece of equipment, it won't only help my girls....we promise to help the boys as well!
We are not allowed out into the real world to observe scientific concepts so this piece of equipment will allow some of that reality into our classroom.
