G-r-r-r-eat Dinosaurs in Pre-Kindergarten!

My students need dinosaur books, math manipulative dinosaur sets, dinosaur songs, and dinosaur dramatic play and learning resources.

My students are four year old children who attend Pre-Kindergarten in the inner city. We have a high poverty rate, but the teachers and staff in our school create a "learning oasis" for all who attend our program. Our emphasis on science makes our building something special! We study dinosaurs in Pre-K when we learn about all kinds of animals. The dinosaur unit is a highlight for the students because dinosaurs capture a child's imagination like no other creatures could! Boys and girls in Pre-K are capable of learning various dinosaur names, how they were born, what they ate, and ideas about how they may have become extinct. To make our unit come alive, we need additional materials to develop a fun and effective dinosaur unit in my Pre-Kindergarten classroom. In Pre-Kindergarten, our units of study are often inter-disciplinary units based on a theme. Our dinosaur unit includes science learning, math measurement, literature and stories, as well as songs and dramatic play. We can even use gross motor movement to reinforce concepts about dinosaurs by moving in various ways with dinosaur music! We could use your help to greatly enhance our Dinosaur activities in Pre-Kindergarten. We would love to receive dinosaur materials in support of our unit such as dino counters, books, music and dinosaur toys. Thank you for your consideration of this multi-disciplinary science unit!
