My students need STEM challenges and hands on materials to learn how to problem solve and to work together as a team. These challenges give them the opportunity to experiment without the worry of failing.
The students in my classroom are lively, ready to learn 2nd graders. Most of my students receive free or reduced lunches and despite the challenges they face outside the classroom, they come in with smiling faces and want to work hard all day. My goals as their teacher are to provide them with a safe, positive environment and to offer them the best education possible.
I want to create a warm, loving classroom for my students and give them opportunities that they won't find outside the classroom.
I am asking for ETA hand2mind STEM Bins for my students to use weekly for station time in order to teach them the creative, problem solving thinking skills that these materials will provide. STEM Bins allow students to develop the appropriate form of engineering for their grade level. Each student will feel encouraged to think like an inventor!
Students who can problem solve will be our future leaders in the world!
Each student deserves the chance to explore different options to suit their abilities. There's nothing more exciting to a teacher than to see the light in their eyes when they feel successful.
