This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My Kindergarten students are wonderful members of our world and I want to give them the BEST chance to be successful in it!
The students are eager and ready to learn all they can about so much that makes our world thrive!
My students come from an urban neighborhood where life is not always the best. We make life our best by creating a free flowing environment of safety, caring, curiosity and lots of learning. They are always excited about what new things we are going to learn about in science and math. They always want to know what book we are going to read that they can relate to and ask questions about.
My Project
These donations will help my students to learn to in a very productive and exciting way. They will learn how to read with the books donated about places that are not just in their neighborhood but around the world. They will use the art supplies (paints, paint brushes and construction paper) to illustrate our responses. Learning about the world will help them understand how to become productive citizens.
It will make learning challenging but yet a rewarding fun experience which they will remember for life!
We will also learn about self awareness and how to interact with others as we travel through our educational journey.
We will learn how to develop our critical thinking skills as we discover lifelong math skills. We will use the dry erase markers to record our answers or start from scratch as we discover answers.
