My Students

The CCSS(common core state standards) for fifth-grade, requires students to use technology to conduct short research projects, produce and publish writing, collaborate with others and type a minimum of two pages in a single sitting. This is only possible with technology in the classroom.

My students are eager to learn, enjoy coming to school, and perform to the best of their ability.

Our school community and student population consist of various multi-cultural families that share a common goal; to see that their children get the best education possible. Our school motto is to educate, challenge, and inspire all students.

My Project

My students will learn safe Internet practices as they learn how to conduct research projects. With the tablets, students will be able to produce and publish their writing. My students will research an individual state and do a state report with the new tablets! They will also, be able to practice their keyboarding skills and collaborate with each other on other projects.

Having five tablets available, for 30 students, will allow the students opportunities to master the CCSS.

Students are in groups of six students, so having the five tablets will enable each student to have access to the Internet.
