Ms. K. Bettis from Selma AL is requesting educational kits & games through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need these hands-on items like Real-World STEM Challenges, Force & Motion Activity Lab and puzzles to build their understanding in math and science.

My awesome third graders are so energized and excited about learning!! Even though our school is a Title 1 school, we are all motivated to excel over and beyond every obstacle put before us. Being in the middle of a violent area, my babies never allow that to stop them for succeeding in whatever they put their mines too. They are so focused to make a difference in their community and I try to push them every chance I get. My students may not have everything that's needed, but one thing for sure, they NEVER allow that to stop them from learning.
My babies love hands-on activities!!
When hands-on activities are placed in front of them, they become true scientist and mathematicians. Most of my kids are well able to take their learning ability to the next level. We could do just that with a little help with having more hands-on items in the classroom. I want to be able to take and reach all my students at their level of learning.
I've learned over the years, that hands-on activities are so profound in today's society. My students are so excited when we engage in activities that allows them to touch and build. That's why I know that items like the Force and Motion Labs will reach down and help them identify the true scientist within themselves. To help them explore the scientist inside even more, the Real World STEM kit can pull them in so many different ways.
After implementing the different kits in the instructional lessons, my students will be able to gain so much knowledge about the skill(s).
This will most likely stay with them for a long time. Building on their math and science skills will also enhance their college and career readiness.
Try to reach each student on their level could sometimes become difficult, but focusing on the critical parts in 3rd grade math by allowing them to have more hands-on will ultimately build the differentiated instructions for each student. I know that my student can learn even more and I'm ready to build them even more.
