Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is right in the middle of a wonderful Agricultural community, so our students see agriculture every day. We work hard in our school garden to ensure that the crops we plant will be successful at growing into healthy, bountiful crops.

Our students come from hard working families, so they too are very hard-working.

They want our garden to be beautiful and successful so they work hard at planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing and harvesting. We love our school garden!

My Project

We spend a lot of time working in our garden and want it to provide large and healthy fruit and vegetables for us. One way to ensure this happens is to make sure the soil in our garden is full of nutrients. With the soil sampling and testing kit, we will be able to tell what we need to supplement the soil with to help our plants grow best. The models will help us to understand our soil better and give us a better understanding of soil types and which one allows better drainage so we have the best fruit and vegetables possible.
