My students come to school every day excited about another day of learning. I know this by the smile and the conversations we have each morning. Each day we work hard together to know that as a team we can accomplish great things. With loving and supporting each other we work hard to make sure every student learns and grows together.
I teach third grade in Minnesota where a third of the students are low income.
I have fourteen wonderful students.
The students feel very fortunate and proud to come from a rural community where everyone cares for them and works hard to make a difference in their lives. We live in a town where most students know a majority of the community members. The students show their appreciation by working hard each and everyday. We have many great opportunities for students living in a rural community, but students sometimes do miss some of the opportunities that urban area may see due to funding.
My Project
Technology is changing the world. It is changing job fields and education. By purchasing items new opportunities are opened up and created for students.
Students that are opened up to technology in education and are opened up to a new world of creation!
This door will give them the opportunity to be inspired to be inventors and creators.
By purchasing items that students can create robots, they are become inventors. They are first engineering and designing. After engineering and designing they will put their work into action. They will then see what changes they need to be put into action.
In doing my research I am absolutely blown away with what students can do with this brilliant builder pack. They will connect by blue tooth to devices. Students will be able to run their robot. By running it they can plan actions and courses for their robot.
