Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are low income, Title I students. Coming to class is the only stable thing in life as they go through living apartment changes.They receive free or reduced-price As dual language STEM Technology learners they struggle to perfect both languages but they are all smart, strong children that will overcome any and many barriers in life. The students put their best effort to learn to make themselves proud and their parents as they become life long learners in Houston.
My Project
The STEM reading comprehension kits will integrate readings strategies and science strategies to make engineers of the future. The tubs are going to help the students be organized and be successful in the activities they are making. The kits have fiction stories so that they can learn about things that are entertaining which is an author's purpose element. The kids also have nonfiction stories so we can learn about informational text which an element author's purpose . The kids will make the students happy and engaged as they have Hands-On activities to learn about science and reading comprehension at school.
