My students need some hands-on STEM materials to practice their engineering and problem-solving skills in a highly engaging way. We are requesting a STEM Challenge kit, STEM science stations, a magnetic center and coaster activity kit.

My students, or scholars, as I like to call them are a diverse group of second graders. They are each unique with different learning styles and interests. Despite their differences, they come to school each day with open minds and open hearts and are ready to tackle the day.
Their passion for learning and the desire to do well is what makes them so phenomenal.
My scholars are thinkers. They persevere and support each other when learning new concepts. They build each other up. They feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes. These scholars, have built relationships with not only me, but with each other. In our classroom, we are like a family. We laugh together, grow together, and encourage each other to be the best version of themselves that they can be.
My project is aimed at getting my students to think like engineers. We need some hands-on STEM materials to practice their engineering and problem-solving skills in a highly engaging way. We are requesting a STEM Challenge kit, STEM science stations, a magnetic center and coaster activity kit. These STEM activities are filled with project-based learning activities that encourage collaborative problem solving.
This comprehensive kit introduces STEM projects at a level that’s just right for my students!
It also comes with a complete set of books and posters that provide helpful background knowledge about many different STEM projects —just the thing to support college and career readiness! Kids save a town from a flash flood, rescue a toy bear from a well and guide a family safely across a bridge! The kit was specially developed to help children think like scientists and engineers as they explore the STEM design process and solve problems—students plan, build and test their designs, then improve them until they are successful. Kit comes packed with everything needed to work through 3 exciting challenges…plus detailed lesson plans that make it easy to focus students’ learning and explain the STEM concepts behind each challenge. You even get careers cards that apply what kids are learning to the real world!
