Future Engineers and Computer Literacy in the Works
Help me give my students the opportunity to enjoy MagnaTiles to explore engineering in our classroom. We also need quality headphones to use when learning with technology in the classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class consists of 20 four year old students at a local public elementary school with a high percentage of English Language Learners in our area. Seventy five percent of my students speak a language other than English in their home.
My students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to be in school.
Many have never had interactions with other children their own age before entering school and have not had many opportunities to participate in activities outside of their home. They are sweet, loving children ready to see what school has in store for them. Their excitement is contagious.
My Project
My students recently visited the Louisiana Children's Museum on a field trip . Magna-Tiles were in one of the exhibits at the museum. My students LOVED building with the Magna-Tiles at the museum. It would be great to have these same engineering toys available to my students in the classroom.
My students are becoming technology savvy.
They use a touch screen computer to work on learning objectives daily as well as iPads to help with language and concept development. Quality headphones are a must for the children to get the most out of the use of technology in our classroom.
