My Students

My kindergarten students are extremely eager to learn. Each of my students come from a different walk of life, but they all come into my classroom and we truly become a family.

Many of my students come from low-income families or from families whose native language is not English.

Despite having hurdles in their lives even at the age of 5 and 6, they bring their all to school and strive to reach their goals. It is amazing to watch their little minds work and grow throughout the year.

My Project

My students love to build! We incorporate stem into many of our lessons and lately we have been building Leprechaun traps. We had to first draw a diagram of what we wanted to build, talk about how it would work, and then actually bring our diagrams to life. My students absolutely loved the steps to this project and have incorporated it into their free play during recess.

We have some Magna-tiles, which are the favorite building tool in class. It is often not enough to create the diagram they have drawn. I would like to add more tiles for the students to become successful builders and architects!
