My Project

There as been so much focus on reading and math instruction and best practices for students learning in general. However, writing is equally important as well. It's a skill that students need in life and lack in.

This is why I want to help my students become better writers.

I want them to learn the writing process as well as the skills and techniques to create amazing stories, reports, and essays in all writing genres. In order to do this, my students need some materials that can help them to keep their writing organized, to help me with conducting writing conferences, and to celebrate our completed published pieces.

The binders and folders will be used to keeps students writing papers organized as we go through the writing process. The chair and drawer will help me to conduct desk conferences quickly and to organized our writing supplies. The printer ink, pens, and flashlights will be used to help us when we celebrate our published pieces. I will be able to print their writing pieces to display and use for our quarterly celebrations. One of our celebrations will be entitled " Camp Share a Story". We will use the flashlights for this as we pretend to be camping and students will each get a chance to read their published story. These resources will help to provide my students and myself with what we need to improve in writing and become future authors!
