My Students

My students live in a very diverse community in Southern California. Every year, I have fourth graders who enter my classroom that are curious about the world around them and eager to learn. My students are diverse in regards to their backgrounds as well as learning styles. I have students who may be gifted, English language learners, or have learning disabilities. Whatever their backgrounds, my students love learning and interacting with each other in various way. The more they interact with one another, the more they learn from each other.

My Project

Students will be able to use a variety of materials to complete different visual art projects throughout the school year. With the assorted brushes, students can experiment with different types of lines. The Crayola assorted markers allow my students to express themselves with a variety of different colors. And the polymer erasers allow my students to erase marks almost completely, even with light pressure.

There are many benefits to visual art.

It can strengthen problem-solving, creativity, and confidence. Students are also able to express themselves non-verbally and improve focus. They can also experiment with materials and find their voice.
