I work with a wonderful group of kindergartners who are excited about school and look forward to learning new things every day. My school opened two years ago to many students who were moved because their neighborhood school was overcrowded.
With new beginnings, our school has very few materials and activities to help make the learning environment engaging for our students.
We are not a Title I school, so our funds are limited, and many of the activities I do in class and the materials I use have come out of my pocket.
Many of my shelves, seating options, and center activities are in need of replacement. Not only is this my 13th year teaching, but I have also moved three different times. Therefore, I have many classroom materials that have started falling apart and activities that are missing pieces.
New shelves, new seating, and new centers would help my students keep our centers organized, have new flexible seating options, and keep them engaged in their learning.
I will use the new center activities like the science discovery bottles, addition games, and the number rockets to replace some of my outdated centers that I have had for years.
