Diverse, unique, and creative are just a few words to describe my students. They are a wonderful group of students ready to learn new topics and dive into hands-on learning. Currently, we are a K-5 elementary school. Next year, our school with start the process to become a K-8 school by adding a middle school. For many, school is their source for new experiences, technology to enhance learning, and creative outlets for their imaginations.
Inquisitive and hard working, my students deserve the best learning environment to serve their needs.
Since my school is considered a Title 1 school, the majority of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. With that being said, many families cannot afford additional learning tools for home or the classroom. I strive to provide my students with a Media Center (library) that will take them into the future with high interest books, STEM activities and MakerSpaces.
Libraries serve the needs of every student in the community that it serves. My elementary students love funny/humorous books. Students ask on a daily basis "What are some good funny books?" They love to escape the pressure of everyday life with tales of funny kids or characters based off popular games.
The humorous books in this project will delight students for many years to come.
The majority of the books in this project, like the series "Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja" and "Diary of a Roblox Noob," were suggested to purchase by the students. The students will be so excited to read these funny adventures.
