My Project

Students will learn about different breeds of chickens in N.C.. We will discuss how to care for a chicken and the benefits of raising them. We are in a small rural Title 1 school in NC. My students never cease to amaze me with their anticipation and excitement to learn. They are sweet and hard-working. I would love to do this project with my 3rd-grade class. My learning goals artistically are that the students learn to create a 3D piece of sculpture out of a mixture of art mediums as well as learn a bit about farming and chicken types. I am looking forward to doing this with 3rd and 4th grade and know they will be very excited about this project.
