"A person's a person, no matter how small." - Dr. Seuss.
I teach the smallest students with the biggest enthusiasm for learning.
My students learn in many different ways using all of our senses and multiple intelligences. We use a wide range of techniques to help all our students succeed.
Students in my class come from a variety of different backgrounds which makes for wonderful sharing of experiences and cultures, including Native Americans. Our school is a caring community of successful learners which can be seen through collaborative student project-based learning in and out of the classroom.
Kindergarteners in my classes love to work with hands-on materials and have many different opportunities to practice a skill before it is mastered. Having the social skills to work cooperatively with friends is a crucial aspect of the kindergarten curriculum.
My Project
Kindergarten is the grade level where the foundation is laid for lifelong learning. Students in my class will learn all the basics of reading, writing, and math. This program turns that reading foundations for reading FUNdations with interactive lessons on phonics. Students will get to learn phonological awareness with oral language, practice letters with magnet tiles, and try out sentences with proper punctuation. I am requesting enough so that each kid can have their own letter-writing board, some class magnet letters, and teacher flash cards. Help my students get a great foundation for reading that is FUN!
