My students never fail to amaze me. They are very excitable and love to participate in hands-on activities in our library. I love to get them thinking and working together on projects in order to learn new concepts.
I am new to the Library Media Center this year, and I hope to make our space a more 21st century environment.
We come from a very low socioeconomic region and these do not often have as many opportunities as students in other parts of our state. I hope to use m library to establish lovers of reading, life-long learners, and to motivate my students to believe in themselves and recognize their full potential.
My Project
I am asking for a few books for our KCMS library! I have picked out the books that are the most asked about and the ones that seem to fly off of my shelf. I want these books to keep my readers reading!
Students love the Diary of the Wimpy kid books, especially my reluctant readers.
I asked for many of these in the project. I also asked for I Survived series books. This is another series that tends to not stick around long. Finally, I had to add Graphic Novels because I am constantly being asked when I am getting new ones. These are all books that my special needs students feel comfortable reading as well as my gifted students!
I know that the books in the project are exactly what this library and my students need! I would love to see these be our next additions. Please consider helping me build life-long readers!
