My Students

My students are 16-18 years of age but developmentally, both socially and academically are at closer to an elementary level. My students learn best with manipulatives and different ways to keep them engaged. We use the iPads and Smartboard for many things but sometimes it is just best to learn with the hands on. I am hoping to gather more resources for myself to be able to better support my students!

My Project

My students range in age from 16-21 years old and while at school to learn many things, the main focus is to learn functional living skills so that when they are not in school, they can be as independent and successful as possible. These materials will help tremendously in teaching the students to write their own names, and identify and use money. The students are not big fans of writing with pencil and paper and we can only do so much on technology. The whiteboards, dry erase folders (you can put a worksheet inside and then can use a dry erase marker to do it) and markers allow my students a chance at differentiated learning to be as successful as possible!
