My Students

My ELL students are very eager to learn English as a new Language. They come from low-income households where 100% of the students receive free and reduce lunch. They face many challenges in and out the school, but they start every day full of hope of what the future might have in store for them.

My students are very energetic, happy, and determined to learn the English language as fast as possible and be able to perform socially, academically and prepare themselves for what the future might hold after high school.

My Project

While fingers come in handy, there is nothing faster than a calculator to do the math and advance with the content in class. Some ELLs have interrupted their education at some point therefore it is important for them to have tools that enable them to be efficient while learning the content.

In learning a language, visuals are very important.

Having a color printer will help them express what they know and present their work. Most families lack technology at home. A printer in the classroom will be a lifesaver. They will be able to print and go!
