Our school services students in grades 9-12. We have a high mental health and special education population in our school. Our school averages about 35 students per grade level and one teacher per subject area. Our student body is very unique as they embrace all students and teachers; we have little to no bullying and haven't had a fight in the school in countless years. My Project
My students are in need of art supplies to create art in and around our school and our community. My students have unique ideas and talents and they want to embrace these talents and show the community what they are able to make that is functional and beautiful.
My students are planting plants and trees for Earth Day.
They would like to make self watering planters and planter systems that look pretty and are helpful for keeping plants alive in our dry environment.
My students are asking for Tree IV root seekers, self watering containers, glue, glitter and paint.
The idea behind this project came from the students. They want to place both edible and non-edible plants around the community and help families as well as help the looks of the community. We aren't able to water the plants daily but with these unique watering systems that the students want to create they will water themselves.
