My students need 2 airbrush kits including compressors and airbrush color sets to explore new, non-toxic artforms.
This project expired on February 23, 2012.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Help my students explore a very exciting art-form that is not used very often in schools. With airbrush, we can create effects normally achieved only with spray paint, but without all of the toxins. It's a green alternative that's fun to use. Will you help us?
My students are very creative, and exploring new art-forms may open up doors for them later in life, exploring skill areas that they never knew that they had otherwise.
I believe that this art-form will aid our kids in envisioning an artistic future for themselves, and aid in positive memories related to art.
The airbrush materials will be used to show my students how colors blend in a new medium, and will be used to make easy posters, and perhaps even explore graphic t-shirt designs. Our climate in Arizona makes it easy for us to spend time outside of the traditional art class, and this would be a perfect medium in an outdoor setting.
It is my sincere hope to impart new skills to our body of students in our school.
So much learning is moving toward '21st Century skills' with computers which is a good thing, but I believe it is still important to share this medium as a versatile and exciting option to the art community.
