Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kindergarten students are my family; they are my kids!
I call my students "my kids" because in our year together they aren't just kids on my class list, they become a part of my heart.
"My kids" come to my class seeking to find their place in this world. Most if not all of my kids year after year come in with no prior educational experience. They are a blank slate. They are eager to learn, laugh, and absorb all of the new things presented to them every day. Despite all of the challenges they may have in their lives they come ready to explore the unknown, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to help them on their journey!
"It's okay to not know, but it's not okay to not try."
My Project
The tablets and Osmo kits I am hoping for will give differentiated learning to our class. Every student in my class learns in his or her own way. With these kits, the students can apply their different learning tactics. Encouraging my students to keep on learning through whatever means necessary is my end goal.
This donation will help reinforce to them that the encouragement continues outside of our school family.
When a student feels that their hard work and learning is valued they strive to continue their education.
Students will be able to use these Osmo kits and tablets in many subject areas. They will be able to manipulate to create equations, words, and sentences. The possibilities are endless to foster their educational and social creativity!
