I teach special needs preschool. My students are 3-5 years of age and have varying disabilities. They are enthusiastic learners that love music, art, and stories that help them to learn early academic skills.
They learn best using multiple learning strategies and approaches.
Using hands-on learning experiences helps students to remain engaged and learn new skills. They require visuals to help them learn and understand new skills.
Our school is considered to be an urban school, and most of our students come from low-income families. We appreciate any donations to help our students grow and learn!
My Project
We need materials to help our student learn their alphabet, rhyming words, and beginning sounds! Our students learn best through hands-on activities, so these learning materials will be perfect to help them learn these early literacy skills!
Learning should be fun, and what better way to learn your ABC's than to have some fun while doing it!
Our students will love these fun games to help them learn their alphabet! Students struggle with fine motor, so the center activity with the tongs to pick up the ABC's will be perfect for both skills! Students love playing in our sensory water table, so the floating letters will be a great addition! We are working on identifying rhyming words. The Center activity for Rhyming words would be so helpful since students will have manipulatives to help them identify the rhymes!
These hands-on games and activities will help my students increase their early literacy skills, and they will have fun while learning!
