My Project

My kindergarteners love to come to school. They look forward to the day's activities. They love to work with different tools and supplies. I am requesting a science of reading essentials toolkit with magnetic letter chips for my students. My students need to work with their hands and be engaged in what they are doing. The hands-on materials in the toolkit make spelling and writing more fun for my five year olds. Our school has a heavy focus on writing this year,, and I want to make sure it is developmentally appropriate. I will be using the toolkits for reading and spelling practice.

Exploring, discovering, and experimenting with hands-on materials has great value in education.

I wish you could see the joy on my students' faces as they work with hands-on manipulatives. They proudly show their spelling to me and their classmates. We will be using these materials for all subject areas. These experiences lead to gains in reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills. I also find that my students are motivated and highly engaged when they are immersed in their learning. Hands-on tools are the perfect way to engage one hundred percent of my students. Many students need extra mental health and academic supports since the COVID pandemic. Thank you for supporting my students!
