My Students
Teaching Pre-Kindergarten is what keeps me in the classroom.
The best way to learn is through planned, purposeful, AGE APPRORIATE activities.
My students are eager to learn 4-5 year old children. I have some students that are attending school for the first time and are in need of a good transition from home to school. Even though we all don't speak the same language we are working on our social/emotional development as well as conscious discipline.
Pre-Kindergarten sets the foundation for developing a love for school and learning.
My Project
Having fun sensory bins at center time will help students learn through play. School is supposed to be a fun place to learn. Through the use of sensory bins my students will be learning needed skills to help with not only their academics, but their social/emotional development too.
Sensory bins are age appropriate learning tools that encourage learning even when the children feel that they are "just playing".
With your support my Pre-Kindergarten students will not have to use paper and pencil as their resources for learning. With the use of the sensory bins to help with their fine motor skills and their academic skills my students will be prepared for the rigorous standards awaiting them in Kindergarten.
