My students need a Teach and Store easel and Turn-In-Your-Work Organizer!

If you can READ this, thank a TEACHER.- American Proverb. It's easy for each of us to remember the one teacher who shared a kind word, act, or simply their time. I'm thankful to have had several thoughtful, dedicated teachers in my life.
My students are from a neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, an area considered impoverished and crime-infested.
Yet, this is not how I view my school and the rising stars that attend my class! The South Side boasts a broad array of family cultural and social offerings. The students, families, teachers, and administrators are an example of hard work and devotion paying off. Every morning I am greeted with hugs and smiles. My students share their happiness for learning with me every day we're together. With the challenges they face daily, it is a pleasure to go to school and teach knowing I am providing a consistent source of support and love they need to become college ready.
My students sit on the rug for Instructional Learning several times throughout the school day. They sit with listening ears, looking eyes, brains thinking, and hands still, ready to learn. They sit patiently as their teacher searches for a flat writing surface to write our daily Objective and Essential Questions. A classroom easel will open up our instructional learning rug time and greatly maximize my students ready to learn whole brains.
Due to the demographic of my school, we do not have a classroom easel!
Having a classroom easel is an essential piece to any primary classroom. Students learn best in a structured, organize, and fun learning environment like we would have with the Turn-In-Your-Work Organizer. Your thoughtful donation to our project will help me to utilize my time in the classroom for many years to come.
