This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My elementary School is a Title I school which means that a large percentage of the students come from low-income families. Our school is located in Florida. With this being said, a lot of my children come from broken homes and are in need of love and educational help. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to take charge and feel empowered.

This year with COVID 19 my class needs some extra love to prepare us for social distancing within the classrooms.

My Project

Our playground has a jungle gym, sand pit, a field, and the main playground equipment these items will help occupy the students time while outside. Thanks to COVID and the need to social distance, our kindergarten classes have to take turns using the playground equipment, I would like to provide all the kindergarten students with games, balls, equipment and other alternative activities to do during their recess time when we are at the sand pit and field. These materials will be fun and exciting for my students while also keeping them active and moving!
