Help me give my students some fun learning center manipulatives. The Lakeshore Alpha-Bots will not only help them with their letter recognition but will also keep their interest longer as they learn because they are Transformers.
My students walk into my classroom everyday full of life and are excited to see what is in store for them. I want them to know that we believe in them and to teach them to believe in themselves. They should learn early on that they can do or be anything that they want to. We won't apologize for the laughter, volume, chaos, and/or mess, because we are learning in here.
The mission of our district is to provide excellence in education and it begins in preschool!
Our students come from many different socio-economic backgrounds. We are an identified at-risk preschool but when they walk in they are all treated the same. If you were to walk into my classroom today, you would not be able to tell them apart from each other. You would see us having fun and learning through play. One thing that will always remain constant with early childhood is the need to develop motor skills and social emotional skills. By developing these skills in preschool our students will be more prepared for Kindergarten.
My Project
The Alpha-bots will engage the students as they can transform the robots into letters. They will be used in small groups and centers to help the children with letter and sound recognition.
These materials will not only help the children with skill development; they will also keep their interest so they want to learn.
The sorting paint game will be a fun way to learn and sort colors while being able to use the Magnetic Easel.
The STEM project materials, such as the picasso tiles and the puzzle piece Jarrby set will be used during small group time to help the kids with fine motor and critical thinking skills. They will be able to explore and manipulate to come up with their own creations.
