This year is my third year teaching and my first as a seventh grade teacher, in a low-income, high poverty school district in the Bronx. I have a class of wonderful 7th graders that consists of English language learners, special education students and general education students who come from various ethnic backgrounds. Despite the many challenges my students face, my students come to school eager to learn and strive to do better. They ask questions and are not afraid to take risks or make mistakes.
My students are creative and active 7th graders that are passionate about their work and projects.
I want to give my amazing students the skills and tools to be their very best selves.
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning and improve their school lives by giving them an opportunity to enjoy outdoor recess.
Students need physical activity to be healthy and to keep their minds alert!
The sports ballls will also allow them to become active participants in organized team sports and build good sportsmanship!! My students will have higher self-confidence and self-esteem as well. They will feel good about themselves when they are able to participate in activities and be successful. Students also learn important social skills such as sharing, taking turns and getting along with each other.
