Middle School Science is an exciting opportunity for students to learn by doing and to explore the world around them. Our students get to create, build, learn, research, test, and question things daily in the science lab.
As teachers, we work hard to create excitment around science and encourage our students to be curious about our planet and its contents.
As a result, students leave our classroom feeling exhilarated, empowered, and eager to learn more. Many of my students make their own connections between our science class content and real world situations.
I'm requesting funding for a few items that will help to support my students in learning about physical & environmental science. Included in my list are a potato clock & wind turbine kits, so that students can practice exploring alternative energy, a root-viewer to aid in our Plant Parts unit, a few games to challenge my early finishers, and beach balls with unit-specific questions to serve as academic brain breaks.
These items will help my kids have a blast while learning about science!
It's so important that students have fun while learning, and engaging materials such as these make that possible.
