Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 3 and 4 year olds in a Public School in Bronx, NY. We are a Title I school. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging projects. They come to school each day ready to try new things and are eager to learn!

My Project

Our 3K students engage in learning centers throughout the school day. Our students need multicultural dolls that represent their ethnicities.

Our students engage in gross motor play one hour each day.

The shape bean bags allow our students to learn to recognize and identify shapes, as well as reinforce and strengthen their gross motor skills.

The magnetic alphabet puzzle will allow children to identify letters of the alphabet, while also reinforcing their fine motor skills.

These learning materials will enable our students to engage in meaningful play throughout the school year.
