I am often asked what grade level I teach, and I tell people I teach the best grade level "Kindergarten." I love teaching this age group because we not only teach them how to be in school but also teach them to be readers and writers. Kinders are very special little people that are always eager to start school, always happy, always so curious, and it's powerful when they become readers and best of all, they are enthusiastic about everything! And they love their teacher no matter what. They keep me feeling young and make me enjoy teaching as well as going into work every day!!
My Project
My kids work hard the whole week and look forward to Fridays, that’s when they get to play with manipulatives/LEGOs; however, not everyone likes to play with them, often they ask me if they could borrow iPads from another teacher. I want my students to have their own, so that they have an option to play some coding games/ number games that are enriching and makes them think critically. I can’t wait to give them the opportunity to use iPads not just for Fun Friday but a tool to use and learn from.
Learning and fun can be personalized and I think, we can do that by giving students access to iPads.
We have to change the way, children learn and play, Getting students involved in their learning and fun rewards will reap great benefits like collaboration between peers/ groups and strengthening their thinking skills and the ability to get along with others.
