My students need activities and games to increase their reading and math fluency. Sight word games help my students recognize words quickly and practice in a fun way!
As a low-income, extremely rural small school, my students are survivors and overcome challenges on a daily basis. Despite food insecurity, poverty, and uncertain domestic issues, our students come to school and strive to do their best academically. Their resilience and determination to do their best is inspiring. Our community is extremely supportive even as taxes go up, they do everything they can to support our school children. My goal is to give my struggling students a hand up with hands-on learning games!
My Project
Sometimes learning can be hard! But learning can also be Fun! Increasing my students' math and reading fluency will be fun with these excellent learning activities and games! My students will gain reading and math fluency by practicing new skills with fun activities and games.
Fluency in reading and math is very important for students success as they progress through their education.
By adding poem activities and Quizmo Sight Word and Phonics games to my classroom, it will increase quick word recognition opportunities for my students to practice their new skills. The Quizmo numbers game and the ThinkFun Dice game will give my students a chance to practice quick number retrieval, subitizing, and using numbers quickly. It will be awesome for my students to use these games to increase their math and reading fluency!!
